Japan Festival 2017

We had again a successful Japan Festival on October 8, 2017!

Japan and the Netherlands share a history of an exceptional friendly relationship for more than 400 years. In the recent decades the Netherlands have actively appealed to their attractive business environment and successfully attracted over 300 Japanese companies and 7,500 Japanese people to establish their bases and homes on Dutch soil.
The Japan Festival, which aims to further strengthen the ties between Japan and the Netherlands, has now undergone a complete renewal after two years. This autumn on Sunday, October 8 from 12:00 to 17:00, on the grand square of the Amstelveen Shopping Centre, Japan Festival 2017 invites you to come and experience the entertaining programs designed by the locals for the local families and friends, young and old, of all nationalities, introducing Japanese food and culture, several workshops and stage performances.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to the municipalities of Amsterdam and Amstelveen, Amsterdam Inbusiness, the Embassy of Japan in the Netherlands, the Japanese Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands and many Dutch and Japanese companies for supporting the objectives of Japan Festival 2017 and continually extending their generous cooperation.
Let's make this year’s Japan Festival a success!

Chairman of the Japan Festival Foundation
