Working at HARIO Europe

You will be working in a small team, at our office in Amstelveen (the Netherlands). We are responsible for the entire European market, and liaise with our colleagues in Japan on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

● Upkeep of our existing e-commerce platforms (Shopify)

● Expansion/population of new e-commerce projects (Bol, Amazon)

● Inventory/warehouse management

● Creating new listings and optimizing existing content to improve online visibility

● Be the first point of contact for our customer service team to answer questions and help customers

● Reporting growth/activities

Job Requirements:

● A valid EU visa, and permission to work in the Netherlands (Required)

● Written and spoken fluency in English (Required)
English writing and/or proofreading may be part of the job, so (near) native-level English is important.

● Fluency in Dutch and/or Japanese is a major plus. Any other, additional (European) languages are an additional plus

● Experience with e-commerce platforms like Shopify and Amazon (Required)

● Experience with SEO is a major plus
● Experience with design software like Adobe Photoshop is a major plus

● Experience with Google Analytics is a plus

● Familiar with MS Office (notably Excel, PowerPoint)

● Familiarity/affinity with Japanese (business) culture

● Willingness to learn about specialty coffee and tea, kitchen

● Polite, professional and flexible; problem-solving mind set when it comes to customer service

● Attention to detail, punctual and well-organized

● Target oriented
● Excellent team player

We are a small team. This means that sometimes we need to be flexible and perform tasks not covered by our ‘standard’ tasks.

What we offer:

● 25 holidays + national holidays

● Working hours from 8:00/9:00 to 17:00/18:00 (40 hours)

● Transportation expenses will be paid

● Salary will be negotiable

Location:

Your day-to-day workplace will be in Amstelveen but you are expected to make yourself available for national as well as international business trips.

At HARIO, we have been dedicated to the design, production and sale of heatproof glass since the company was founded in 1921. HARIO is the only heatproof glass manufacturer in Japan with their own factory.

We started out manufacturing laboratory glassware. In 1948, we expanded our production to household items, starting with the coffee siphon. In 2005, we released the V60 Coffee Dripper, which went on to win 6 World Brewers Cup Championships, and remains one of the most beloved pieces of equipment in the specialty coffee industry..

The name HARIO originates from the Japanese words for glass (玻璃, hari), and king (王, ō). Thus HARIO (or 玻璃王) means the King of Glass: A name fitting with our ambition to become the world's number 1 glass manufacturer.
