As we continue to grow our presence in the European market as a leading importer and distributor of authentic Japanese food products, we are looking for a committed, bilingual Sales Representative to join our team.

You will play a key role in both maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and expanding our customer base.

This position is ideal for someone who wants to be actively involved in the Japanese food industry and grow with a dynamic and trusted company.

In the future, there is potential to step into more strategic roles such as key account management or coordination with the purchasing team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and strengthen relationships with existing clients through regular communication and visits.
• Proactively develop new customer accounts and identify business opportunities.
• Coordinate and manage the entire sales process from inquiry to delivery.
• Propose new solutions and ideas that bring value to clients.
• Communicate and coordinate with internal teams on logistics, import/export, and documentation.
• Handle both strategic sales planning and daily operations.
• Approach challenges with persistence and take full ownership of assigned tasks.

Requirements:
• Japanese: Native level
• English: Fluent and practical communication skills (native level not required, but must be sufficient for business use in daily operations)
• Proven sales experience in any industry
• Knowledge or experience related to Japanese food is a plus
• Ability to take initiative and act independently — we are not looking for someone who only does what they are told
• Strong interpersonal skills to build long-term relationships with clients
• Skilled in PC operations (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive in the Netherlands
• Valid work authorization in the Netherlands (Working Holiday Visa and Freelance Visa not accepted)
• Ability to complete both the tasks you want to do and those that simply need to be done
• Demonstrates a strong sense of purpose and motivation in their professional conduct
