The junior accountant is responsible for the booking and booking related administration tasks in accounting. This role reports directly to Manager of Finance and Accounting.

Job specific tasks:

1) Make journal entries by using company booking system, including AP/AR and GL
2) Assist manager of accounting (monthly closing, quarterly consolidation, tax filing and auditing)
3) Communicate with departments / parties regarding booking information request and confirmation
4) Prepare payment data for invoices / reimbursements using online banking system.
5) Maintain / update folders and files of finance and accounting (invoice overview list, cash management, term loans, service agreements, records of foreign exchange transactions etc.)
6) Be engaged in introduction and implementation of new ERP system
7) Perform administration tasks in accounting (filing booking and payment documents, monthly maintenance work in the booking system, controlling and registering invoices) and other administrative tasks when requested

1) Working experience 1-3 years
2) Good knowledge for book-keeping, VAT, and bank remittance
3) Strong sense of responsibility and urgency
4) Keep deadlines strictly
5) Attention to details and accuracy
6) Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
7) Good Microsoft Office skills
8) Team player
9) At least MBO/HBO
10) Dutch Working Permit (preference)

Terms:
1) Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:30 (including one hour lunch break)
2) EUR 3,000 – EUR 3,500 (depends on education and working experience)
3) Initial contract: 1 year fixed term. Permanent contract possible after first year.
4) Probation period: 1 month
