Call for Japan Festival 2026 sponsors

Dear JCC member, Thank you very much for your understanding and support of JCC’s activities. We are delighted to announce that the Japan Festival Foundation will organize “Japan Festival 2026” as below: Date: Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 12:00 to 18:00 Venue: Handelsplein, Amstelveen (due to renovation of Stadshart Square) Since its inception in 2016, the Japan Festival has become the largest Japanese cultural event in the Netherlands, attracting approximately 20,000 visitors. It is widely enjoyed not only by Japanese residents and Dutch citizens but also by people of various nationalities. The festival offers a wide range of attractions, including Japanese food and product stalls, hands-on workshops, and stage performances, providing entertainment for both adults and children. For Dutch residents and other international visitors, it is a valuable opportunity to experience Japanese culture firsthand. For the Japanese community in the Netherlands, we hope it will be a moment to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Japan and feel at home. Furthermore, through this festival, we aim to showcase the long-standing exchange between Japan and the Netherlands.   The slogan for Japan Festival 2026 is:“Wa – Harmony in Diversity.” Our mission is to create a space where people of all nationalities and cultures can come together to experience and enjoy the beauty of Japanese culture. This reflects the spirit of the Japan Festival Foundation. Call for Amstelland Hospital Japan Desk Donation

Call for Amstelland Hospital Japan Desk Donation   Dear member,   Thank you very much for your continuous support to JCC as a member of JCC. The Amstelland Hospital Japan Desk was established in 2010 as a result of discussions between the JCC, JCC member companies, Amstelland Hospital, Amsterdam in Business, insurance companies, etc., in order to meet the desperate needs of the Japanese community living in the Netherlands, who are confused by the Dutch healthcare system and services, which are quite different from those in Japan. Please visit the website for more information. https://japandesk-amstellandhospital.nl/ Its operation is supervised by a board of directors of Japan Desk Foundation (non-profit organization), which JCC board member is also participating. The Japan Desk provides the information of Dutch medical system in Japanese as well as an on-site assistance by Japanese speaking staff for Japanese patients that receive the medical examinations at Amstelland Hospital．They are also available by phone or email from inside and outside the Netherlands to answer the questions and provide information on the Dutch healthcare system in general. The number of cases reaching around 120 per month and all services are available for free of charge. Therefore, the donations or good will from JCC member companies and individuals are an essential source of funding to maintain and improve the operation of the Japan Desk. Although we receive the support from many member companies every year, the recent increase in operating costs due to high prices, as well as declining of the donations, has made it difficult for them to keep the operation in good shape. We would therefore be very grateful if you could support them and their activities by the donation. [在オランダ日本国大使館主催] ハーグ条約セミナー開催のご案内 （１０月２４日（金））

【申込終了】2025年度第2回実用英語技能検定試験のご案内 (アムステルダム日本人学校より)

＜2025年度の英検申し込みは終了しました＞ ※英検実施についての問い合わせは下記６のアムステルダム日本人学校までお願いいたします。 アムステルダム日本人学校におきまして、オランダに在住する子女を対象に下記の日程にて実用英語技能検定試験を実施いたします。 2014年度より、オランダ現地校・インターナショナルスクールに通学し、補習授業校に通学されていないお子さんもアムステルダム日本人学校を通じて受検ができるようになりました。 在オランダ日本人学校、補習授業校に通学されているお子さんの申し込みは、学校ごとに取りまとめておりますので、各学校の英検担当教員にお問い合わせください。 １．実用英語技能検定とは 日常生活や社会生活に必要な英語を「聞く」「話す」「読む」「書く」の4技能から測定する文部科学省認定の資格試験です。 ２．試験の日程について 2025年(第２回) 10月5日(日)１次試験（筆記、リスニング） 11月9日(日) ２次試験（スピーキング） ３．受検可能の級について 2級（高校卒業程度）/ 準2級プラス（高校上級程度）/ 準2級（高校中級程度） 3級（中学卒業程度）/ 4級（中学中級程度）/ 5級（中学初級程度） ＊ 筆記試験は日本語ですので、試験問題が日本語で理解できることが条件となります。 ＊ 1級および準1級はアムステルダム日本人学校では受検できません。 ４．英検の新たな級について ☆準２級プラス☆ 31年ぶりに、実用英語技能検定の準2級と2級の間に新たな級が導入されます。 （詳しくは、英検ホームページへ https://www.eiken.or.jp/eiken/2025newgrade/index.html） 【審査基準】 身近な話題であれば、社会生活に必要な英語を理解し、また使用することができる。 英検Can-doタスク例 ５．申し込み方法 下記アムステルダム日本人学校事務室に受検希望の旨をご連絡ください。 申込書および検定料振込み方法の案内を送付しますので、必要事項を記入し期日(8月29日 (金) 16:00)までに返送してください。 申し込み後の取り消しはできませんので、一旦申し込みをされたら期日までに必ずご入金ください。 検定料納付期日は9月1日(月)です。 ６．連絡先 アムステルダム日本人学校事務室（担当：戸塚） Email: totsuka@jsa.nl / Tel: 020-6118136 (9:00-16:30) ＊在オランダ日本人学校（アムステルダム/ロッテルダム）、補習授業校（アムステルダム/ロッテルダムハーグ/ティルブルグ/マーストリヒト）に通学されているお子さんの申し込みは、学校ごとに取りまとめておりますので、各学校の英検担当教員にお問い合わせください。

The Japan Festival – June 29, 2025 at Stadshart in Amstelveen

The Japan Festival will be held again this year on Sunday June 29 in Amstelveen! The JCC has dispatched four board members and one secretariat member to the Japan Festival Foundation to help organise the festival.
