Japan Festival 2022 and Sponsor Package Information
Dear JCC Members
We would like to express my sincere gratitude for your understanding and cooperation with the activities of the JCC.
As we informed you earlier, after two consecutive years of postponement due to the global spread of the Covid-19, the Japan Festival 2022 will now take place at the Stadshart in Amstelveen on Sunday June 19, 2022. The board of the Japan Festival has recently confirmed this now that the Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted by the Dutch government and the preparations for the festival are under way.
The theme of the festival is “Reconnect for tomorrow”. Through this festival we want to share with you the joy of being connected again and to keep the more than 400 years old ties between Japan and the Netherlands alive for the future. The festival is not only for Japanese people living in the Netherlands, but also for locals and non-Dutch people, with a varied program of Japanese food and culture, workshops and stage performances that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike.
As part of the preparations, a new logo for the festival was commissioned which we are proud to share with you by way of this email. For the logo we have taken a traditional Japanese design and used the colours of the Dutch flag to express our desire for the Japan Festival to be a place where both cultures can meet and bond.
In previous years, Japan Festival was organised jointly with Diwali festival, but from this year it will be organised independently. We hope to take this opportunity to create a brand-new Japan Festival together with you.

Many of you are already a sponsor for which we would like to extend our gratitude. Please be informed that the sponsor reception, which is part of the sponsor package, will take place on Friday 10 June 2022, at the Hotel Okura Amsterdam from 17:00 hrs to 19:00 hrs.
