Dutch Employment Law Updates 2025 & outlook 2026

We are pleased to invite you to the Dutch employment law seminar organised in cooperation with JETRO Amsterdam and AKD on Tuesday 4 November 2025.

In this seminar, we will discuss important developments in Dutch employment law for 2025, as well as legal amendments scheduled to take effect in 2026. Additionally, we will discuss the potential impact of the national election, which will take place on October 29, on employment law.
Furthermore, we will provide the necessary background information regarding the complexity of Dutch termination rules, with a particular focus on terminations that require third-party approval from UWV or the Court. This will provide a solid foundation for understanding Dutch employment law and the key differences between Dutch and Japanese employment law. For example, who implements this, and why? Why has this not been changed?
