Brexit webinar

Registration has been closed.  Please call JCC office when you have a question.

Dear JCC member,

We are pleased to invite you to join our upcoming Brexit Webinar, which will take place on Wednesday 27 January (09:00 – 10:30 CET). This event is organized by DUJAT in close cooperation with JCC and JETRO, with presenters from Baker McKenzie, Jones Day and Dutch Customs.

In November last year we already addressed the expected impact of Brexit, but how do we cope with it now that it is really here? In this webinar, Adam Eastell, Partner at Baker McKenzie will give an overview of the key terms of the new Trade Agreement between the UK and EU. He will also discuss what key elements were not included in the deal, Political and Market reaction, and what has been the key practical impact so far.

After Adam, Eva Monard, Partner at Jones Day, will talk about situations in which trade in goods between the EU and the UK can still give rise to import duties. She will address rules of origin and the possible imposition of trade defence measures, unilateral measures relating to subsidy control and rebalancing measures in case of regulatory divergence.

Lastly, Roel van ‘t Veld, EU Customs Policy Lead at National Office Dutch Customs – Brexit coordination, will give an overview of the borderformalities between UK & The Netherlands under the Trade Cooperation Agreement Practical implications of Brexit on cross border logistics.

We know there are many questions related to Brexit and therefore welcome you to submit these on the registration page.
